Background
Millions of users come to eHow in their search for answers online. It became the forefront of the corporate-wide effort to create "Content for Real Life" and increase quality standards of the product offering. As senior art director I was charged with improving the user experience through a design lens, uplifting the brand to increase trust with our users, and reform design standards; all while considering the goals of the business.
The evolving eHow brand and business experienced a revolution with the Google Panda update, which during this time generated a unique opportunity for redefinition. I managed numerous design explorations, branding exercises, style guide creation and socialization, design of a new iOS flagship app, and art direction for a user-based answers community.
eHow Flagship iOS App
The project goal was to bring users closer to the answers they need by allowing them to ask questions directly to a certified eHow Expert, members of the eHow community, as well as 1000s of searchable articles and videos.
UI comps of "eHow 7.0" that incorporated user feedback, testing, and data insights. New homepage design explorations and article formats that focused more on community, social content, and a variety of enhanced solution offerings that would appeal to eHow's large and diverse audience.
